Plate 32 Italia & Graecia, Index page 1

£3.00

Plate 32 is where the exploration of the Sandycove Atlas began, with the discovery of ten pencil underlines, all relating to the history of ancient Rome and the Pyrrhic Wars in particular. No other marks have been discovered on this plate. The RH page of this opening begins the Index, which runs for 28 pages and includes at least 20,000 place names as claimed on the cover of the Atlas. A few pencil marks have been noted against particular place names but the Index has not been scanned closely. The whole Index will be available separately.
