Plates 22, 23 Palestine, Farther India, Persia, Afghanistan and Beloochistan

There are many marks on the Palestine map of Plate 22 and a wide variety, suggesting multiple users. Ten of the 25 logged are underlines in blue pencil, so would qualify as Joycean, but they include many of the most important places in the biblical story (Bethlehem, Nazareth, Jericho etc), so many people besides Joyce could have wanted to mark them. There is a complex doodle in the desert, east of the Jordan as well. No marks at all on the Farther India (ie Indo-China) map or Persia, Afghanistan and Beloochistan.
